Over the mountains and down the river

From Fuente De we headed SE to Haro for a rest/rain day today. Hot days, long climbs and plenty of fluids made it sweaty work.
We've mostly been in Castilla y Leon and have followed the Ebro River.  It's rural farming country with gentler terrain and but for the low density of cafes and restaurants is almost perfect for touring.
Fueled by pastries!
The moment we entered Rioja there were vineyards and we've been enjoying wine and tapas in Haro.
Tomorrow we'll start heading north with a plan to rent a car in Donostia-San Sebastian so we can explore the Spanish Pyrenees en route to Barcelona.
